My husband had dementia and Parkinson's disease. In February of 2025 he fell and fractured his left hip and right wrist. He had hip surgery to repair the fracture and a cast on his right wrist. He also had a foley catheter. When he was ready to be discharged from the hospital, it was not possible to bring him home, so I found Rock of Ages Manor Care. Board and Care facilities were all new to me. When I went to tour the facility, I was amazed. Kristoffer and Maryl are the owners and operators of this facility. They are the most warm and caring people. I immediately knew this was the place for my husband. I made the arrangements, and he was moved within a few days. The facility is clean, the staff are warm and caring, and they have home cooked meals three times a day and snacks. I was there every single day, and my husband was always clean, comfortable, and well cared for. He was only there for a month and one day before he passed. You feel like you are part of the family and when you are in the final days of your loved one's life, that is so important. I would place any member of my family at Rock of Ages Manor Care.

Rock of Ages is a fantastic place. Everyone here is super nice. If I could stay here forever, I would. Everything is always clean, the food is great, and everyone is attentive. It's a great place, period.

My brother-in-law stayed at Rock of Ages for 3 months after a health event. During this time they worked with hospice to help him improve and become healthier and happier than he had been in a while. He was treated with kindness and repect. He loved the food and the feeling of family. They kept in close communion with the family until we were able to move him closer to us.
